Heysen 105
October 24, 2020 @ 7:00 am - October 25, 2020 @ 5:00 pm

Sir Wilhelm Ernst Hans Franz Heysen OBE (known commonly as Hans) was a prominent South Australian artist and 9 times winner of the Wynne Prize. Famed for his Australian landscape paintings, he grew inspiration from the beauty of the Adelaide Hills through to the Flinders Ranges. It would be no coincidence that the 1200klm long world famous Heysen Trail traversing the same landscape is named after him.
It’s no secret that the Heysen Trail is stunning with those varying landscapes throughout the entire length of the trail, and the Fleurieu Peninsula is no exception.
So 10 years back, a small group of runners had an ingenious idea to do a section fatass and immerse themselves in the trail love that is found in the Adelaide Hills. And so became the Heysen 105, which today is an iconic stable trail event on the SA calendar and proudly a part of the SA Five 50.
With options of 37, 60 or 105k, the Heysen 105 now has choices for you to quench your desire to conquer the trails!
