DESCRIPTION:I don’t know how many times I ran the trails of Yaberoo Budjara before I made the effort to discover how it really came about. I took for granted that it was just something that was there and it was at my backdoor to utilise. A unique and wonderful strip of beautiful forever bushland in the heart of suburbia in Perth’s Northern Suburbs. \nThe Whadjuk peoples have used this corridor of land for tens of thousands of years before us. Travelling along the wetlands between the swan estuaries to Yanchep and even as far North as Moore River\, the sandy hills between the corridor and the coast gave them some protection on their travels during harsh Winters. \nYaberoo Budjara translates to ‘Land of the peoples North of Perth’ and to have an event that runs along this trail is a privileged opportunity for us to acknowledge the history of the region and our country’s first peoples. \nRace distances of 15\, 25 and 50k are available for you to immerse yourselves in the beautiful coastal bushlands along the limestone trail. \nEntries open 1 August
